We treat websites as long-term business infrastructure.

Most websites are approached as one-off projects. They're designed, built, launched, and gradually fall out of sync as priorities change, search engines shift, and content ages.

We take a more deliberate approach.

Based in Melbourne and Dunedin, we're a senior two-person studio designing and looking after websites for businesses that take theirs seriously. Structure, clarity, and longevity matter just as much as how a site looks on launch day.

We help guide decisions, not just execute them

Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, design, and development. Rather than just executing instructions, we help guide decisions early, reduce unnecessary complexity, and bring structure to what can otherwise become a fragmented process.

That often means slowing things down at the start, so priorities are clear before anything is built.

Decisions guided early
Structure before polish
Complexity reduced, not relocated
Accountability held end to end

A senior studio, by design

Dot The i Studio is intentionally small. We're a senior two-person studio - just Alec and Jamie, in your corner. No account managers, no hand-offs, no outsourcing.

Decisions stay close to the work, communication is clear, and every project benefits from consistent oversight from start to finish.

Working directly with us

We're two founders who stay closely involved throughout every project. From early conversations and structural decisions through to launch and the years of evolution that follow, you'll work directly with us rather than being passed between roles.

Co-founder · Strategy & Development

Alec Wren

Based in Melbourne, Alec focuses on the structural and technical side of every project - making sure websites are built properly, stay flexible as the business evolves, and hold up to whatever comes next, including how AI is changing search. Also leads on business development and ongoing client strategy.

Co-founder · Design & Direction

Jamie Simpson

Based in Dunedin, Jamie leads design direction across the studio - shaping each site around clear hierarchy, considered visual decisions, and a finish that feels resolved rather than decorative. Also leads day-to-day project flow, client communication, and the craft of how a site is put together.

Clients often tell us they value clear communication, steady progress, and fewer surprises. We aim to make the process feel structured and manageable, even when the work itself is complex.

How we work, in practice

How we think shapes how our services are structured - from bespoke websites (Webflow Certified, primarily in Webflow) and Webflow-Shopify integrations, to AI search readiness and ongoing Website Evolution. The goal is always the same: build strong foundations, make good decisions early, and stay accountable as the website grows and changes.

How this translates into our services

Ready to start a partnership that lasts?

If this feels aligned, we're always happy to start with a conversation - to understand what you're working towards and see if we're a good fit. The strongest projects usually start with shared understanding and clear expectations.
