We treat websites as long-term business infrastructure

Webflow-first studio building bespoke websites.

Most websites are approached as one-off projects. They’re designed, built, launched, and gradually fall out of sync as priorities change and content ages.

We take a more deliberate approach.

Based in Melbourne and Dunedin, we design and build bespoke websites with the expectation that they'll continue to evolve. Structure, clarity, and longevity matter just as much as how a site looks on launch day.

An orchestration-led approach

Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, design, and development. Rather than simply executing instructions, we help guide decisions early, reduce unnecessary complexity, and bring structure to what can otherwise become a fragmented process.

This often means slowing things down slightly at the start so priorities are clear before anything is built.

Decisions guided early
Structure before polish
Complexity reduced, not relocated
Accountability held end to end

A senior studio, by design

Dot The i Studio is intentionally small. We’re a two-person, senior studio, so clients work directly with the people responsible for the outcome.

There are no account managers or hand-offs. Decisions stay close to the work, communication remains clear, and each project benefits from consistent oversight from start to finish.

Working directly with us

We're two founders who stay closely involved throughout every project. From early conversations and structural decisions through to launch and ongoing refinement, you’ll work directly with us rather than being passed between roles.

Co-founder · Strategy & Development

Alec Wren

Focused on structure, systems, and long-term technical foundations from Melbourne. Alec’s role is to ensure websites are built properly, remain flexible over time, and support the broader needs of the business.

Co-founder · Design & Direction

Jamie Simpson

Focused on clarity, hierarchy, and considered visual execution. Jamie leads design direction from Dunedin, ensuring each site feels resolved, purposeful, and aligned with the brand it represents.

Clients often tell us they value clear communication, steady progress, and fewer surprises. We aim to make the process feel structured and manageable, even when the work itself is complex.

Foundations built through strategy

The way we think directly informs how our services are structured, from bespoke Webflow builds as a Certified Webflow Partner to Webflow-Shopify integrations and ongoing site evolution. The goal is always the same: build strong foundations, make good decisions early, and stay accountable as the website grows and changes.

How this translates into our services

Ready to build something that lasts?

If this feels aligned, we’re always happy to have an initial chat to learn a bit more about what you’re looking to achieve and see if it feels like a good fit. The strongest projects usually begin with shared understanding and clear expectations.
